Leanne Eastwood MCSP
Leanne joined Alex at Morecambe Bay Physiotherapy in 2008 working Saturday mornings. As the clinic has grown Leanne now works 3-4 clinics per week.
Leanne qualified in 1999 from Sheffield Hallam University with a Bsc ( Hons ) Physiotherapy degree, and has since worked in a wide variety of clinical settings and has a breadth of experience having worked in the NHS, Sport and Private Practice. Her NHS work has included working within musculoskeletal, hydrotherapy, rehabilitation, respiratory and neurological departments.
For the last seven years Leanne has worked solely as a musculo-skeletal physiotherapist, working in a number of private practices across Lancashire and Yorkshire. Leanne now combines her work here in the clinic with working in an NHS Out-Patient Department. She has the unenviable task of working on Saturday mornings. Leanne is an experienced and highly skilled physiotherapist with a special interest in rehabilitation. Leanne also combines acupuncture with her manual therapy skills.
She particularly enjoys treating sports injuries, but also spinal conditions and is keen on rehabilitation which she incorporates with manual (“hands on”) therapy and acupuncture.
Away from work Leanne loves to travel and explore new places. She likes to keep fit and is particularly interested in athletics especially running, spectating rather than competing these days!
